This is Art-Razor Capitaine, a custom razor made in the Ukraine. The blade is an 8/8 quarter hollow in French point. I am unable to capture the sparkling shine on the blade. The scales are black and in buffalo horn. This is a formidable razor, big and heavy, and the shave is glorious. Sadly, my arthritis has flared up and the weight and the size of the razor have become a wee challenging for the thumbs, especially. I do not suggest the razor for a newbie. If you’re a pro and like big blades, this razor should be yours. The  Capitaine is in superb shape — the blade is so shiny that you might see a few miniature scratches here and there. Looking to trade this beautiful Gillette Aristocrat #66. This is the aluminum Coronation set with proper case The razor weighs 38 grams. Comes with case and a handwritten receipt from 1953. The receipt is a little torn. The plating is in Excellent condition. No brassing on the head. The case has some stains that are visible in the pictures.

Now the bad stuff. The handle has a little blemish/plate loss on the inner handle where it goes into the outer handle. I tried to capture this in the pictures. If you need more, just ask. The TTO is also a little stiff. When I soak it, it loosens up to almost normal. After it sits for a few days, it stiffens. Normally I would soak in some Scrubbing Bubbles, but I do not dare as I do not know if it will affect the aluminum handle.

This was purchased from this very forum and I used it ~ 6 times. I get along with my Weber PH a lot better.

For trades, I prefer hardware. I would do MdC+$ via PayPal.

With arthritis creeping in I am inclined to slowly reduce my straight razor collection. It hurts to get old. 

Here are two exceptional razors that will please the newbie as well as the pro. Although the razors come with signs of age — little patina, a few nicks and scratches — they are in fine shape. The pins are tight and the blades close center. The tips are muted (rounded).Both are fabulous shavers, and are shave ready. The price include U.S. shipping. Paypal is fine. No trades, please.

1)Gillette Fat Boy D4 (1958)

This razor is in very good condition, both cosmetic and mechanical. A little bit of brassing is starting to show on the handle, not really very noticeable. All adjustments click 

nicely on all positions. 1/4 turn locks as it’s suppose to. Some slight fade on the numbers. No major dings or scratches, just the expected normal wear.

2) Weber Polished Head Stainless Steel made in the USA

Got this brand new several years ago. Used it a couple of times and then it has been forgotten ever since. In mint condition. These are no longer in production and hard to find.

Letting go of this Razorock Game Changer .84 OC baseplate.  Excellent condition, I find that I prefer the .68 version slightly.  Retail is $34.99 plus shipping, asking SOLD.






Also letting go of these 2 TiBam New York style DE razor handles and stand combos.  One of my favorite handles out there, I just don't have any razors to use them with any more after down sizing the collection.  Both are custom made to 80mm lengths, the titanium weighs 40g and the antiqued brass weighs 71g.  Retail on the titanium is $110 and the brass is $120, asking $75 shipped for each set.
